To reduce the volume of packaging entering the consumer/waste/recycling chain we re-engineer our products wherever possible. We also work to minimize energy consumption and ensure that our materials are capable of being re-used, recycled or incinerated without negatively impacting on the environment or creating hazardous waste.

Our paper and board, all of which comes from sustainable sources, enters the waste paper collection chain for reprocessing and recycling. All processes conform to regulations in terms of emitting or disposing of hazardous waste.

In the UK, Nampak Healthcare is a member of Valpak, the leading provider of reliable and responsible compliance and recycling solutions and the Packaging Federation which promotes and develops better awareness of the benefits packaging brings. In other European countries, we are members of environmental organisations, including CiAL and Comieco in Italy.
